Pyrah (2-31) and Rashid (1-27) bowled economical spells in the middle of the innings. Ex England batsman dominated the latter part of the Worcester innings making 86 not out (87 balls). He and Kabir Ali 22 not out (11 balls) hit well towards the end of the innings, Darren Gough suffering as he went for 68 from his ten. Tim Bresnan took 3 for 43 as Worcester closed on 215 for 7.
